If you need assistance with the Linux Oracle Calendar Installation please use these instructions.
The first time you run the Oracle Calendar on your Linux box you will need to setup your connection to the Oracle Calendar server. To do this, please follow the instructions.
- Double-click on the 'Ocal' link to run the Oracle Calendar application. You may see a pop up window like the one below. If so, choose "Run in Terminal".

- The first time you run the application you see a login screen with no server connection established, like the one below:
Click the 'Other' button.
- A window will pop up that will let you choose from various calendar servers. The first time the calendar is run, no servers will be listed. Click the 'New' button.
- Fill in the following information to setup your connection the NCSU calendar server:
- Connection Name: NCSU
- Server: calendar.ncsu.edu; after entering this, click 'Look-up'. Most of the rest of the information will fill in automatically but some changes must be made.
- Node: use the drop-down menu to select the calendar server for your department. If your department is not listed, click 'ncsu'
- Encryption: Affine Cipher
- Click OK

- Select 'NCSU' as the server you would like to connect to. Press "Make Default" to make this your default connection when loading the Oracle Calendar. Click OK.

- Login with your Oracle calendar username and password.
